How we verify every listing

No pay-to-play. A firm is listed when the state board roster shows it registered with a licensed surveyor and its name matches an open Google profile.

States we are not covering yet

Arkansas publishes its roster as an export we will load next. Oklahoma's license search asks automated readers to stay out, and Missouri and Tennessee publish search pages rather than lists, so those states wait until we can get the lists from the boards themselves.

    From the roster to listings

The Texas board publishes two lists: registered surveying firms (with their offices) and Registered Professional Land Surveyors (with the firm each works under). We link each registered surveyor to their firm. A firm office is listed only when it has at least one registered surveyor and its name matches an open Google profile in the same town. Government offices the board excludes are left out. Registered offices without a Google match still appear by town in the state roster table (largest towns first), and the full roster is on the board site.

    The quality score

Every office gets a 0 to 100 score: registered with a licensed surveyor linked (30), a phone (30), a matching open Google profile (20), a website (10) and two or more licensed surveyors (10). Below 70 it stays unpublished. Nobody can pay to change the score or the order.

    Rules, records and prices

Every rule, county record office and price on this site links to the page it came from. We keep a short quote from that page and checked that the quote was on the page when we read it. Prices are shown as published, never averaged.

    Corrections and removal

Email pros@surveyornear.com. License facts are corrected against the state list; a business can ask to be removed and we remove it the same day.
