Find your parcel in Texas
The Texas Comptroller lists an appraisal district for every county. Its website is where you look up a parcel's record before you order a survey. Pick your county.
254 counties, from the Texas Comptroller's county directory, read October 6, 2026. Each link goes to the district's website as the Comptroller lists it. Look for the district's property search there.
The Comptroller's directory gives no web address for Crockett, Dickens, Kaufman, Kleberg, Motley, Palo Pinto, Sabine, Somervell, Young. Call the district at the number shown.
Linked county names have their own page here with the county clerk's plat records and the registered surveying firms based there. See all Texas county pages.
Before you call a surveyor
Have the parcel's record from the appraisal district, your deed, and any old survey or plat. The recorded plat is with the county clerk: see Texas county records. Check the flood zone too if you may need an elevation certificate.
