About SurveyorNear
Surveying firms registered with the Texas surveying board, with the licensed surveyors the board links to each, and Arkansas next.
Who runs it
SurveyorNear is a small, independent publisher. It is not owned by, or a front for, any business it lists. Listings, corrections and questions are handled by our listings editor, Quentin. Write to editor@surveyornear.com and it reaches the desk directly.
Where the facts come from
- State surveying board rosters: the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors (registered surveying firms and Registered Professional Land Surveyors), with Arkansas to follow.
- Each firm's public Google profile, matched to the roster by name in the same town, for its phone, address, website, reviews and whether it is still open.
- Board rules, survey standards, FEMA and title guidance, county recording offices and published prices, each linked to the page it came from, with a short quote we matched against that page.
Every listing shows when it was last checked. The full method is on how we verify listings.
What decides a listing
A firm appears only if the board roster shows it registered with at least one licensed surveyor, and its name matches an open Google profile in the same town. The state page lists registered firm offices by town, largest towns first, and links the full board roster. Order is by distance and our quality score.
Independence and money
No firm can pay for its place in the rankings, its badges or its license data.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, email editor@surveyornear.com with the page and what should change. A business can also update or claim its own listing. We check each correction against a public source or the business itself, fix what is wrong, and date the change. A business closed on its public record is removed automatically; a business that tells us it is still open stays listed while we check.
