Getting licensed in Arkansas
Applicants need the FS exam, admission to or a pass on the PS exam, and a pass on the Arkansas State Specific Exam.
All Professional Surveyor applications are reviewed at board meetings held in January, March, May, July, September and November.
Arkansas surveyor licenses expire every two years and are renewed through the board's PELS portal.
Each Professional Surveyor must report at least 30 professional development hours per renewal period.
At least 2 of those hours must cover Arkansas Standards of Practice No. 1 for Property Boundary Surveys and Plats.
