Subdivision plats, explained
In Texas, a subdivision plat submitted to a city or county for review and recording must follow the Surveying Act and board rules.
What a plat is
Missouri requires at least two permanent monuments for every four acres a subdivision develops.
Missouri subdivision monuments likely to be destroyed by construction may be set after construction but no later than 12 months after the plat is recorded.
Missouri subdivision plats must identify every lot for sale by number.
Arkansas treats subdivision plats as boundary surveys that create parcels such as lots, tracts and easements.
