Topographic surveys, explained
Tennessee's rules say a topographic survey shows visible surface features such as utilities, buildings and water bodies, plotted to scale.
What it shows
On a Tennessee topographic survey, property lines are shown only as needed or as the surveyor judges necessary.
Oklahoma's minimum standards apply to topographic and planimetric surveys as well as boundary surveys.
Oklahoma topographic and planimetric mapping surveys carry a dated, sealed certificate from the responsible surveyor.
On an ALTA/NSPS survey, elevations and contours are optional Table A item 5.
